Join us this Thanksgiving for the Inaugural Turkey Trot for A-Rare-Ness: MPS1! 🦃👟 Taking place in beautiful Rockwood, Tennessee, at Cofer’s Garage, this family-friendly event is more than just a run—it’s an opportunity for the community to come together in support of The Kennedy Ladd Foundation and its mission to cure MPS1, a rare genetic disorder.

Event Highlights:

  • 5K Run/Walk: Whether you’re a seasoned runner or simply looking for a leisurely stroll, this 5K is perfect for all ages and fitness levels.
  • Family Fun: Bring the kids! We’ll have a mini-trot “Wobble for a Cure”, face painting, and more.
  • Pancake Breakfast: All-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. Registered/Timed runners and kids 2 and under eat free.
  • Festive Atmosphere: Embrace the Thanksgiving spirit with themed costumes, music, refreshments, and a fun, welcoming community vibe.
  • Prizes and Awards: Compete for fun awards like Best Costume, Fastest Runner, Largest Team, and more!

Registration:

  • Early Bird: $25 (ends 10/31)
  • Regular: $35 (11/1-11/28)
  • For Fun (non-timed): $20
    All proceeds go to The Kennedy Ladd Foundation.
  • Optional: Want to save $5? Choose the no-shirt option at registration!

Pancake Breakfast:

Refuel at our Pancake Breakfast! 🥞
Tickets: $10 per person (registered runner and kids 2 and under eat free)

Awards:

  • Overall Male: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
  • Overall Female: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
  • Masters (40+): Top Male & Female
  • Best Dressed Turkey: Show off your festive flair for a chance to win this fun award!

Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided post-race.

Race Etiquette: Please note that rollerblades, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. Walkers are welcome, and the course will close after 1 hour, 30 minutes.
